WELCOME TO FLORENCE OREGON
Florence is located on the Central Oregon Coast amid towering trees, huge sand dunes and wild Rhododendrons. the climate is moderate with average temperatures of forty three degrees in January and sixty one degreees in July. Average rainfall is 73 inches. The Siuslaw River and Estuary runs along the Old Town and Historic Bayfront with its own special ambiance. Florence has major deparetment stores, supermarkets, doctors, dentists, restaurants and specialty shops. Eugene, Oregon's second largest city is only 60 miles away to the east of Florence with it's major airport and Interstate 5 highway.

Florence is a small city located on the Central Oregon Coast with about half of its 7000 residents being retired and yet has amenities that many larger cities do not have. There is a new hospital, library, All events center, Fire station and Justice Center.
Recreation Activities
Along with unlimited fishing in the many lakes in the area and deep sea fishing in the Pacific Ocean, there is also crabbing, clamming and fishing in the Siuslaw River and it's estuary.The City boasts two golf courses. The U.S. Forest Services areas provide not only dune buggy riding in the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area but also miles of trails and beaches for horseback riding and hiking. And of course, there is always beachcombing looking for treasures washed up on the wide beaches or just enjoying the fantactic sunsets.
